Zahir is a Economist who currently works at the Centre for Future Labour Market Studies (EU-ERA). He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the prestigious Universiti Putra Malaysia and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Master of Science (MSc.) majoring in Economics at the same university.
He has a wealth of experience in the field of economics. He was previously assigned to work on the Negeri Sembilan development plan using state and regional input-output analysis, state productivity, labor compensation and labor shortage. His current research focuses on supply and demand modelling to develop an economy-wide model for the refinement of medium-term labor market forecasting and evidence-based policy formulation in Malaysia.
As a Junior Economist, he is a highly dedicated professional who is always looking for ways to enhance his expertise in the economics field and is committed to using his skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of the field of economics.
