Meniti Titian Hidup: Memahami Impak Badai Inflasi

This study provides a snapshot of the reality of low-income households in urban areas in response to the pressure from current inflation hikes. This initiative is the result of a strategic collaboration between the Malaysian Input-Output Economics Association, Astro Awani and the Centre for Future Labor Market Studies (EU-ERA) in helping to improve policy instruments to deal with the cost of living.

This report aims to understand the current position of B40 and M40 households in urban areas due to inflation pressure. It evaluates the effectiveness of existing aid mechanisms and suggests appropriate improvements. The data analyzed in this study was observed using the purposive sampling method in 18 Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) and 9 settlements outside the PPR around the Klang Valley. Data insights using the face-to-face interview method conducted between 23 and 24 July 2022.
